have you been trying to verify your paypal account in Nigeria using ATM card like verve
or interswitch and got an error that the card is not supported with paypal verification.after the news that paypal is accepting Nigeria as part of the country that can make use of their online payment service, many Nigerian internet users have created an account with PayPal but some of them are still finding it difficult to verify their paypal account in Nigeria using their ATM card.one of the major reason is that most people are making use of the wrong ATM card like VERVE which does not support foreign and online transactions.the simple reason why you are getting this error is because verve card can only be used in Nigeria which do not support US dollar payment.verve ATM card issued in Nigeria is only loaded and programmed to for local use only which do not support any other foreign currency apart from Nigerian NAIRA currency
,so with this, you can not verify your paypal account in Nigeria using VERVE ATM card
if you try to use verve card., there is no way paypal can charge the card and send your verification code to you because the card is not provisioned to be used for foreign transactions such as payment online in foreign website and ATM machine.so due to the restriction, you can only make use of ATM Card that has either Master Card or Visa Card logo on it and provisioned for foreign and online transactions.
i know the next question that would be in your mind is where will you get a card with master card or visa card logo on it.well, it may interest you to know that most of our nigerian banks do issue master card and visa card and you can fund it with naira which will be converted to US dollar when using it for foreign transactions or online shopping.
