recently a friend of mine came to me with a problem that has to do with keyboard @ replaced with " symbol on windows 7 computer.
well, i have to do some digging and came up with a solution on how to resolve the computer keyboard default settings. so many of us might have been experiencing this problem but don't know how to resolve it which is not cool.
the problem arises as a result of when installing the OS from where you bought it either windows xp, windows vista, windows 7, they install it using either english united kingdom or english united state as default, the keyboard settings may not be responding with the right keys, so today i am going to share with you on how i resolve @ key with " key by changing it from united state to united kingdom or vise versa
its not difficult to perform this task, all you need to do is to change the language keyboard to either united state or united kingdom.to do this, just follow the steps below.

change keyboard default settings
==> press start on the computer and click on control panel, you will see clock, language and region, under it click on change keyboard and other input method
==> a window will open, click on keyboard and language, then click change keyboards button
==> a window will pop up, you will see the default keyboard settings of the computer, now if the region is UNITED KINGDOM, change it to US and if it is US, change it to UNITED KINGDOM.to do this
==> click on ADD BUTTON at the right side, a language window will open
==> look for the languages and click it, a drop down will come up, click on show more to see the different language in that region.
NOTE, tick US english if the default region was English UNITED KINGDOM and vise versa, then press ok
==> it will take you back, you will notice that it will now have two region, choose the new one as default by highlighting and click the apply button and then highlight the formal one and click on remove button, then click ok and restart your computer, open notepad to test the keys.that's all.ENJOY.
