==> after downloading, extract the file, inside it you will see a folder called ANDROID,just copy it and paste inside your C:/ root directory. E.g if you paste it into the C:/, it will then look like this C:/ANDROID.

doing it this way will make it very easy to locate its directory when making use of it because you have to use command promp to first locate the ADB and FASTBOOT directory before you can use it without error.

at the ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES panel, scroll down to SYSTEM VARIABLE, you will see a line called PATH, click it to highlight and then click the EDIT BUTTON

a dialog box will come up, you will see VARIABLE NAME as ( PATH ) and VARIABLE VALUE which has some line of words, now add this line of word to the end ;C:\Android.note the word ;C:\Android have a semi-colon at the beginning.when you have added it, click OK for all.that's all.

you can now make use of ADB and FASTBOOT on your windows computer or laptop pc without problems.note that you would also need to install all android phone drivers.you can download drivers for manufacturers like HTC, SONY, HUAWEI, LG, SAMSUNG etc.that's all.ENJOY.
