recently i transferred money from my gtbank account to first bank account via gtbank internet banking platform and i was surprised with the instant transfer.if you have been trying to use gtbank internet banking to transfer money from your savings account to a third party bank account in Nigeria, you would noticed it was not allowed because it requires you must attach a current account to your internet banking platform.i was discouraged to try it after getting such message that i need to attach my current account to the platform which i have not done.but recently, i got a message from gtbank announcing that third party transfer from my savings account to other bank in Nigeria is now possible and this is surely a welcome development as it will make sending of money faster and effective,you don't have to go to the bank and stand on queue.

so in other for you to make use of this service, you must have an account with gtbank to enable you use their internet banking platform.a savings account is all you need but note that you will have to obtain what is called gtbank token device which will enable you to carry out internet banking transactions securely.without token device, you will not be allowed to make use of their internet banking.so just go to any gtbank branches that is closer to your location and request for the token device.it should not be more than #3000.

they have two option used for third party transfer.they have transfer using NEFT (National Electronic Fund Transfer) and Instant transfer.i made use of the instant transfer option which did not take up to a minute before the fund was transferred to the first bank account i sent it to.

the NEFT National Electronic Fund Transfer takes up to 24 hours to be effective. so if you want to make transfer, you should make use of instant option.so try it out.
